July Reading Possibilities

The summer is proving to be a so so sort of time. It could be better, but I could also be a lot worst. The weight of the world demands attention, decision-making, and action. Sometimes when spending the time day by day, just paying attention to immediate needs and surroundings, it is hard to look at the bigger picture. I need to make dinner for myself. I need to shop for ingredients. I need to make sure the chores in the house are done. I need to take care of myself and the people around me. What about someone down the street or in another part of the world. There is a reason for nation-states, for governments to look after their own citizens, but what if that isn’t enough? What are the answers to the difficult challenges that countries face having to do with jobs, resources, and economy, alongside cultural, social, and religious differences? I don’t have answers. All I can say is to maintain dialogue as best as possible.
